The multitude of empaths globally are feeling the energy shifts. Headaches, vivid dreams, changing perspectives, unexplained feelings of elation (even doom), stomach aches, seeing the energy fields are all normal things to experience during these times. Stop and quietly listen. Trust the words that pop into your mind. (The trust that only comes from a leap of faith.) They aren't just things you're thinking. They are real. This is what the change in energy is bringing us. The darkness is now illuminated and can no longer hide. The world is responding to it. You have to make the choice to flow against it, or find new ways to flow with it.
This leads me and a friend to wonder how much some empaths really know about using energy. In a conversation today, we discussed how some don't seem to comprehend how easy it is. Just ask and know it will happen. Don't have to jump through hoops or do all kinds of rituals. Those only make people feel better and make it more real to them when, realistically, the belief after asking alone will do that. This is our conversation tailored for this post as well as a comment I made on a Facebook page that I felt fit this theme.
Okay so we've all felt unwanted emotions, but we all eventually learn we don't have to hang on to those or even let the effects linger. We can simply will them away or change them into positive, just riding it like a wave. They flow in, they flow out changed. And when we learn how to ride them like a wave, soaking up the good and passing away the bad, how wonderful does that feel?! It reminds us how magical the world is and fills me with awe every time. It doesn't mean it has to be serious or hard work. It can be so much fun!
What most people don't realize, and some don't want to hear, is that we really don't need things physically near us or in our hands when they are abundant on earth (like gemstones and crystals although the proximity can help make the effects seem tangible). We are standing on them or near them and all we have to do when we need them is to declare it ... it really is easy, so easy ... and so magical too.
Old energies called for ritual and sacrifice. The new energy (also called quantum energy) asks for belief and love. All it takes is just the smallest ember and the universe will turn that ember of faith into an inferno if you let it. The Universe/God/Source is ALL powerful, benevolent, and ALL LOVE FOR US. Did you ever stop and think that the Universe/God/Source desires to give it to us as much as we desire to receive it. That is magical. It is as easy as speaking it, or practicing speaking it. Just ask. I hear that all the time in my head, "Just ask and be open to receiving it". So often we want something and the universe responds, but we don't take it when it's right there in front of us. Life really is simple, and it really is easy; particularly with these new energies. That is one of the reasons I don't have rituals, and very few routines .... I have had an aversion to them for as long as I can remember .... They serve a purpose, and can be useful, but not when they become "the way". You don't need them for in these new energies, it's all already there. Through asking and belief and love, we manifest what we want. Calling to us what already exists.
But remember this works the other way around too. What we focus on becomes reality. If it feels hard, it will be hard. If we want it to come, but don't focus on it already being here, it'll always be just out of reach. Ask your spirit guides and angels for help. Ask God/The Universe/Source for help. Ask for what you want and add "or better" after it. (I like this approach because it kind of covers all the basics, right?! Also helps take care of that piece where we're trying to force the Universe/God/Source to bend to our will. Attract more flies with honey, right?) Be specific in what you want. It should feel real to you. The more you trust and believe, the more things that wouldn't normally feel real, start to become real. Ask and know that it will happen. Believe it. Know it to be true on the deepest level and so it will be.
Gemstones and crystals only work "for us" if we allow it. They're the constant, we're the variable. We have to allow it and also allow ourselves to reach their vibrational frequency so the manifestation can happen. It gets so much easier the more you do it. Start with something small and work your way up to bigger things that seem farther fetched for you. Sometimes it feels like hard work because it's new for our minds to let go of and quiet the ego. With time, confidence, belief, and consistency you can do this and make every single day magical. I trust you will find your way and the answers will come. Just listen quietly and be open to receiving. XO

New Empaths
Hello! This post is dedicated to those who are brand new to being an empath. Firstly, I'd like to welcome you to this beautiful, wonderful gift (scoffing isn't nice!). I know so many of you have been struggling with emotions and energies that aren't yours. You're fearful, hate crowds, are seriously considering the hermit life, and probably think you're crazy. You are not alone. We've all been there. I've been there. I got to a point I didn't even want to live. I was scared all the time. My anxiety was through the roof. The smallest things made me afraid, like checking the mail. My mind was full of doubt and fear. Every thought was rooted in what I now know to be ego. In an act of pure desperation, I called a psychic friend and told her I felt like I had a demon. I told her I could feel the claws digging into my back. I told her everything, even my thoughts of ending my own life that were growing in intensity. I thank God every single day that I have her in my life, because without her guidance, I wouldn't be the strong, social butterfly, open hearted empath I am today.
The first thing she told me was that I needed to shield, use gemstones and crystals, meditate regularly (including balancing my chakras), ground myself regularly, tell my ego to sit down and "shut the f*ck up", and practice one daily affirmation. This became my life. I devoted my time to finding a shield that worked for me. I quietly listened to and trusted the thoughts that popped into my head (that often aren't in my own voice and don't speak the way I do). I worked on that shield 2-4 times a day. I held it up when I felt exhausted. I meditated every day, sometimes for 30 minutes at a time (no small feat for a beginner). I also learned. I researched and used my intuition to guide me. Sometimes I read things that I just scoffed at, but sometimes I read, and still do, things that seemed to flip a light switch. Follow that. It means it's right for you. Often, I bounce ideas off of my friend and she will tell me if it's right or if I'm making it too complicated.
Isn't that just the way it is though? It all seems so complicated! But it's really not. It's simple. The only thing you really have to overcome is your ego. You are the only thing holding you back from realizing that it's all about mental will and energy. It's not complicated. It's very simple. It's all love and light. Love and light. Love yourself as the Universe/God loves you and live in the light.
Every single day I hear my spirit guides and a angels and God. I feel the love surrounding me. I see the love in the world, even the love that buried underneath the ego's influence. I love meeting people. I still get a little anxious in crowds, but the amount of time I can spend in a crowd is growing daily. I meditate when I feel I need it. I trust my intuition and my intuition and other/new gifts are growing, becoming more accurate, and changing all the time. I use my affirmations when it becomes hard or even when I'm really feeling happy to show gratitude. I make sure to spend some time in nature, walking through my grass barefoot, touching my house plants. And when my ego pops up, I don't need to scold it, I bring it closer to God which is where it really wants to be anyhow. If something bad or negative happens, I roll with it. I look for the meaning, the lesson behind it. I allow myself to be open to the possibility that I'm not some freak who's powerless against the emotions of others. I'm a conduit. I'm a healer. I am the light in the dark that will heal your soul just by being near. You were born for this. You were born to be that bright burning star that burns up the negative energies and leaves only positive behind. You can do this. Before you know it, it's all second nature.

Kryon Seminar
Hello everyone! I'm thrilled to announce that my mentor, and long time friend, and I will be attending the upcoming Kryon Seminar August 24th-25th in Asheville, NC. I am so excited for this. It's my first time and I've wanted to go for quite a while. I still can't believe how perfectly it came together. What better way for the Universe to say, "Yes!"?!
If you're interested in checking it out and finding out more information please go to Kryon.com. If you're in the NC area, the link for that seminar is http://kryon.com/2013/k_24(N).html#ash. I'm so excited that the Lemurian Sisterhood with Dr. Amber Wolf will be there! I am so excited I could screech. I'm vibrating so high, I could disappear all together ;)
If you can't make this one, there's so many more coming up and probably near your area. They are GREAT GREAT GREAT for learning and opening ourselves up to the divine. Can't wait to share my experiences.

Karma
Today I am directed to talk about Karma. No idea why, but maybe by the end of this I will know. This is one of the first posts where I'm doing very little filtering from the divine knowledge of this topic. I'm giving no resistance, so I'm going to apologize right now if it seems a little scattered. It's like translating from another language using technology, it doesn't always read accurately or comfortably right away.
The first thing I'm drawn to is the religious meanings of Karma. It's earliest meanings are of cause and effect from past lives to this life. It's an endless cycle between the earth and heaven (traditionally tied to ancestors on each plane) in which the past deeds of another life have no bearing on if we reincarnate. So we literally pay for our deeds in another life. Somehow this is tied into the 7 planes of existence which I feel is limited. There's so many more beings on other planes we hardly know about. There's more like 100 or unlimited planes. So the influence of a past behaviors follow us to the now and in one form or another, we answer for our good and bad deeds. But it's not as cut and dry as that. There's higher beings that act as the dispensers of the fruits of karma. Sometimes your fruit will be rotten, sometimes it will be immature, sometimes it will be ripe, etc. depending on what the soul needs to gain and how the karma needs to be changed.
For some people, karma isn't so long winded. It can be instant and I think we all know this if we just open ourselves to the possibilities and divine knowledge, but that takes practice and time and belief. The last one is the hardest, I know. Karma is based on how we treat others and ourselves. It's a cyclical force in which we create our own world. If we're mean to people, people aren't necessarily mean back, but we may have less friends and realize that we're missing out. It's up to us to ask for divine help, be open to receiving it, and make the necessary changes. Wishing for other people to feel their karma sooner only opens yourself up to that kind of karma, i.e. someone wishing you felt your own karma sooner. And don't say, I am a good person, I don't do anything bad, etc, etc. Yeah, we all piss someone off sooner or later, even by just being the happy people we are. It's best to sit back and let the divine take care of things and let people create their own reality and to focus your attentions on your own reality instead. Why even bother worrying about other people anyhow? It doesn't serve you. Let it go.
And that's it. Wow. Hope you enjoyed the heavenly dose from my spirit guides and angels. The theme of letting go what doesn't serve you is really strong with me right now and I do see the connection of the insistence of this post. It was just the other day in traffic someone passed by very close and very fast. I'd seen them in my rear view cutting people off and driving dangerously. I hoped they'd get a ticket. Low and behold, there was a state trooper, who cut me off and sped off after the person. I felt smug and happy with myself, even in awe of the universe. But I see that was wrong. I can't and didn't control the situation of the speeder getting pulled over. I shouldn't have even let it bother me. I could have slowed down and pulled over, allowing them through without putting up resistance. Why didn't I'? What did I have to gain from planting myself in that lane and refusing to allow passage? Why did I even care or want to control the situation? This is what I need to work on and have been working on, but the Creator is driving home this point. What if others are wishing for me to meet my own karma sooner rather than later? Now that's some kind of karma I don't want... so I guess I'll pull over more and control a lot less. They aren't for me to control anyhow.

Term Confusion
I realized, in watching a conversation, that there's quite a bit of term confusion among the Empath community. I had commented on a conversation in which someone was feeling afraid, anxious, and doubtful in almost every activity she even thought of doing. My first thoughts were of ego and that she was being ruled by her ego. I've come to understand that the first thoughts to pop into my head are divine knowledge. It's when I stop and think about it, questioningly, that the answers are not of the divine knowledge. So, now I have learned to trust those "popping" thoughts that aren't always in my own voice. Anyhow, I left my wisdom and wished the person well. Another person doubted me and added the dictionary's definition of ego (their heart was in the right place so I didn't feel the need to argue). I found this interesting though. Empaths who have learned to trust their gifts and the divine knowledge know that things go so much further beyond traditional definitions and what we see, smell, taste, touch, and hear.
Another term I've seen confused is shielding. In our terms, it's a method of self protection using energy to keep unwanted emotions and energies away from us. The dictionary definition is so different and doesn't even touch on the various methods used. Doesn't mean the dictionary is wrong... just lacking. ;-)
So... take care when giving advice and in doing research to help develop your gifts. Everyone has their own way that has worked for them that may not work for you. Course, it may work spectacularly for you, but not work for your best empath friend. Take all the information you're soaking in, including what I say, with the proverbial grain of salt. That's not to say that there aren't things essential to being an empath because there are; i.e. shielding, ego work, being in nature, meditation, etc. But finding your own way is a major step in developing your gifts. Follow your empathic nature to never stop gathering information. I consider myself an experienced empath, but I would never assume I know it all. Always keep learning and reaching for more. Every day I learn something new and I never lose that feeling of childish wonderment, even if I'm wrong.

Fears Do Not Serve You
I have some left over fears that seem to grip so tightly when my guard is down, like when I'm sleeping. My newest panic attack gripped me at 5am this morning. I woke up feeling the pain in my entire stomach, ribs to pelvis. The fear had its claws in me so deeply. I was absolutely sure everything was going to fall at my feet, I was going to disappoint people, people were going to yell at me, everything was just going to crumble in a domino effect and the business my husband and I have worked so hard to build up would be gone overnight.
Now, realistically, that wouldn't happen, but in the throws of that panic attack, it was a sure thing. I couldn't even get my shield up. All I could do was lay on the bathroom floor, my face pressed against the cold tiles, calling for my angels and spirit guides and higher self and God to please help me and protect me. I found the pain lessoning. I was able to go back to sleep and have some weird, but fun dreams. I woke up feeling only slightly calmer, safely outside of the panic attack. I am so grateful for them coming to my aid last night, hearing my call.
I am also thankful that the day has become magical right before my eyes. Everything I feared... it's just gone away, replaced with a positive version. People who would have yelled at me are suddenly on vacation or calm about it. I can hardly believe it, although I should have known I would be protected.
In talking to a friend, he asked me if it served me and I realized it really didn't. I thought I had let the fear go to God after thanking it for making me aware... but really I'd just held on to it, probably fearing what would happen if I did let it go. My perspective is off here and I need to reorganize. Perhaps some meditation would help me gain a newer, positive perspective of what would happen if I let go of these fears. I'm sure it would actually. So tonight, when I get some blessed time alone, I will meditate on better ways to let go of that fear for real and know that the fear doesn't mean I have control of it. The fear doesn't serve me at all... it just makes for a shitty night's sleep and a ridiculous panic attack.

Being Love
"Remember, we are all affecting the world
every moment, whether we mean to or not.
Our actions and states of mind matter, because
we're so deeply inner connected with one another.
Working on our own consciousness is the most
... important thing that we are doing at any moment,
and being love is the supreme creative act."
Ram Dass

I saw this today and it really made me think about how true this small, but profound statement really is. Every emotion that runs through us (or crawls through for several days) has an effect, not only on us, but others around us and the world as well. If we all understood how important our state of mind was, would we continue to be selfish and sarcastic? Would we drop the smart assed, self serving comments that come at the expense of others? If we truly, deeply, fully understood how much of an effect our actions have, that great rippling effect, would we still do them? Would we still cut that person off in traffic? Would we still ignore the outstretched hands of those who truly need help? Would we continue spreading negativity on our Facebook pages and bitching about how hard our lives are to others? Or would we work even harder on our consciousness? Would we truly be the change we want to see in the world? I am. Are you?
